Carfentanil (CAS 59708-52-0) is an analytical reference material that is structurally classified as an opioid. It is a derivative of fentanyl (Item Nos. ISO60197 | 14719) that potently binds to µ-opioid receptors with a Ki value of 24 pM.1 It is highly selective for the µ-opioid receptor, binding to δ- and κ-opioid receptors with Ki values of 3.28 and 43.1 nM, respectively.1 This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
